Kevin Campion is one of the most underrated players in the game. After debuting for the then Gold Coast Seagulls in 1992, Campion moved to St George where he became an integral member of the team that made the Grand Final in 1996.

His stay at the Dragons was short lived, moving to the ill fated Adelaide Rams in 1997. Again it was just a 12 month stint, and Wayne Bennett snapped up the workhorse in an instant.

Campion was outstanding in his first season for the Broncos and looks certain to extend his stay with the club for a number of years. A solid attacking second rower who is a tireless defender, Campion scored the Broncos' second try in the 1998 Grand Final.

His potential was rewarded in 1997 when he was chosen for Super League Queensland.

In 1999, Campion flourished in a struggling side. He developed new dimensions to his game in attack, while he continued to work tirelessly in defence. He secured the starting lock spot for the club and is becoming one of the most valuable players in the side.
