The North Queensland Cowboys' winless streak with the Brisbane Broncos has extended to 13 games after the Broncos' 52-8 thrashing at ANZ Stadium. The Cowboys had the better of the opening exchanges, leading 4-0 after 20 minutes but the Broncos exploded with the sin binning of Allan Langer, scoring 32 points before half time to well and truly put the game beyond reach. Brisbane slowed their momentum in the second half but still managed to rack up their second 50-point haul for the season.
