Ben Walker was the lone pointscorer for the Northern Eagles as they became the Broncos' 22nd consecutive victim at ANZ Stadium. After a disjointed first half, the Broncos put the Eagles to the sword with a mesmerising 3-try spree in the first 14 minutes of the second half to turn a 6-0 half time deficit into an 18-6 lead. From there the Broncos were never headed, leaving themselves in outright second spot at the halfway mark of the Telstra Premiership.
