Match Summary
A three-try spree in the space of 8 minutes in the second half rescued the Broncos from embarassment against Canberra at Bruce Stadium, snatching a thrilling 26-all draw. The Raiders led 26-10 after halfback Brett Finch scored two tries early in the second half before a late Bronco resurgence led by State of Origin hero, Darren Lockyer. A flurry of field goal attempts went wide before Chris Walker appeared to snatch victory with a runaway try, only to be denied by a controversial video referee decision. A draw was a fitting result, although the Broncos' mood was sombered by news that Lote Tuqiri has suffered knee and ankle injuries and is in grave doubt for next week's clash with Northern Eagles at ANZ Stadium.
