Despite being troubled by a chronic shoulder problem for much of the year, Tate still managed to wow Broncos fans with his pace and line-breaking ability in 2004. He was again a member of the Queensland and Australian squads last season, but lost his place in the Kangaroos line-up to teammate Shaun Berrigan and impressive young Bulldog Willie Tonga on the Tri-Nations Tour of Great Britain. Expect Tate to come out fighting in 2005.
