The older brother of Test centre Shaun, Barry impressed in the early stages of season 2004, staving off a challenge from Michael Ryan to establish himself as the No.1 hooker at the club. But he had his season cut short by a serious neck injury in round eight – an injury similar to the one which almost ended the carer of Gorden Tallis. Following successful surgery, he was back in training late last year and the super-fit rake is keen to once again fill the vital No.9 jumper for Brisbane in 2005.
