The lack of re-signings after the June 30 anti tampering deadline has been of concern amongst Bronco supporters, having already lost Richard Swain (Hull) and Scott Prince (Wests Tigers) the Broncos still had a large portion of players off contract and to add to this concern was the apparent reluctance by SOO stars Shaun Berrigan and Michael Devere to re-sign contracts offered by the Broncos.

Well Bronco supporters can relax as the Broncos have been working hard to re-sign players on mass, the figure is reported to be about 10 player re-signings including SOO stars Shaun Berrigan, Michael Devere and Ben Ikin. Broncos boss Bruno Cullen is confident that he will be announcing these re-signings in the coming weeks, possibly even by Friday this week.

In other news the Broncos have made clear that the club will not get into a bidding war with Wests Tigers over former Cronulla Sharks player Nick Graham after being informed by the Tigers that Graham had already agreed to a two year deal with the club.

Other news that's sure to delight Bronco fans, Darren Lockyer may be back earlier then suspected because rehabilitation has been progressing better then expected and its quite possible he could be back as early as in two weeks time against the Wests Tigers. Darren Lockyer suffered an ankle / torn ligaments injury in the Melbourne Storm game which forced him to withdraw from the Australia vs New Zealand test match.
