Carlaw Back in State Colours

Broncos' interchange forward Dane Carlaw will make a return to the Queensland State of Origin side on Wednesday week for Game 2 at Telstra Stadium. Two solid performances against Souths and Newcastle have given Carlaw back some confidence he lost after injuring his shoulder late in 2004.
5 other Broncos - Darren Lockyer, Shaun Berrigan, Brad Thorn, Petero Civoniceva and Casey McGuire - were also named in the Queensland side.
Queensland will field the same backline that helped them to a 24-20 Golden Point victory against New South Wales in Game 1 at Suncorp Stadium, but the forward pack has been reshuffled after Steve Price was forced to withdraw with a knee injury.
Price is the only player the played in Game 1 that is not on the team.
Tonie Carroll has again missed out on selection because of an on-going calf problem, which sees Casey McGuire retain his bench position that he played in Origin 1 because of Carroll's withdrawal.
The Blues have dropped Brett Kimmorley after a disappointing performance in Origin 1, and two below par performances for the Sharks since the Blues' loss have not helped his cause. This will see Trent Barrett play at halfback, with Braith Anasta called into the squad at 5/8th. The only other change for their team comes on the bench, with Manly veteran Steve Menzies taking the spot of Anthony Watmough.
