John Driscoll is arguably the most unlucky player at the Broncos. After making a meteoric rise to first grade in 1994 following his captaining the Australian under 19s, Driscoll had a shocking run with injures.
In 1997 he was the first choice hooker until a cruel blow two weeks before the Grand Final curtailed his career. He made just 5 appearances in 1998 although he has been reserve grade captain showing his undoubted leadership prospects.
A strong runner from dummyhalf and an excellent serviceman, he will figure strongly in the battle for the hooking role with John Plath, Luke Priddis and Phil Lee in 1999.
