A Sunshine Coast product, Casey McGuire slipped through the Broncos junior recruitment net and was snapped up by Parramatta in 1998. A talented centre and five-eighth, McGuire has been one of the lynchpins in the premiership charge of the Toowoomba Clydesdales in the Bundy Gold Cup, forming devastating combinations with Elia Tuqiri and Nathan Murphy.
A Queensland Residents representative in 2001, McGuire has surprising pace, an excellent long kicking game and is a solid defender, and will prove an invaluable foil in the future.
