Michael Ryan is another of the highly acclaimed youth of the Broncos coming through the ranks. Quick on his feet and deceptively strong, Ryan was outstanding around the rucks, helping Toowoomba Clydesdales to the Grand Final against Redcliffe last season.
While he faces a tough job getting past established hooker Luke Priddis and utility players Shaun Berrigan and Shane Walker for the position, Ryan is certainly a player of the future. With Priddis off contract at the end of the 2001 season, Ryan's chance could come sooner than many expect.
