Corey Parker has a growing reputation in the Bundy Gold Cup after a sensational season last year. Big and mobile, Parker set ANZ Stadium alight with two sensational tries against Burleigh Bears as a curtain raiser to the Broncos' Round 23 game against the Northern Eagles.
Parker expected a call up during last year's Origin series, which decimated the Broncos' playing ranks, but unluckily missed out. However, that only steeled his resolve and he has put in the hard yards during the offseason and should get off to a flying start with Toowoomba and begin staking his claims for a front row berth. But he has plenty of good cattle in front of him, including Shane Webcke, Petero Civoniceva, Brad Meyers and Carl Webb.
