Mark Corvo is another player seemingly washed up who the Broncos have given a chance. After successfully turning Harvey Howard from discard to premiership winner in 2000, the Broncos picked up the ever reliable Corvo late in 2000.

Corvo, a junior from Belconnen in Canberra, joined the Raiders in 1992, playing there until 1996. He had an illfated two year stint with Adelaide before returning to the Raiders in 1999. With salary cap restrictions hurting badly, the Raiders were forced to cut the useful prop forward.

Along with Ken McGuinness and Darren Burns, Corvo is likely to spend much of his time on the bench or with the Toowoomba Clydesdales, but he will certainly have opportunities to impress in the top grade, and will put pressure on the Broncos' band of young guns Dane Carlaw and Brad Meyers to maintain their form.
