Carl Webb has earnt a lot of wraps from a lot of astute judges. Signed by the Broncos when he was just 15, Webb had been approached by Sydney City recruitment officer Arthur Beetson, a good judge of a prop.
Webb has been a strong performer in lower grades for the Broncos, and many pick him to be a future Test star.
A lack of discipline on the field, resulting in two suspensions in 2000, halted his progress. Webb managed just seven first grade appearances and his size, power and skill was eye catching. He will be hoping for an improvement in 2001.
