Brad Meyers represented the Junior Kangaroos in 1999 and has earnt huge wraps from coach Wayne Bennett. Bennett's opinion of him was shown when he was selected on the bench for the Broncos first - and only - full strength trial against North Queensland, beating players of the calibre of Lote Tuqiri and Shaun Berrigan to the final bench spot.
The redheaded giant - just 5 centimetres shorter than the towering Brad Thorn - has the potential to take the rugby league world by storm.
Meyers played 12 matches in 2000, performing strongly when Brisbane struggled with injured props late in the season. Unfortunately Meyers joined the injured list with a stress fracture in his shin, ruling him out of the Broncos' successful finals campaign.
