Tuesday May 20, 2003

The Brisbane Broncos have been given some good news after Richard Swain was cleared of serious injury after limping off the field with a suspected ankle injury from the 36-16 win against the Melbourne Storm.

Swain is still hopeful that he will be fit for friday night's game against the Bulldogs at Telstra Stadium which could mean his 146 consecutive matches in the NRL remain intact, should Swain be unable to take part in the game against the Bulldogs Casey Mcguire will most likely move into the hooker position while Phillip Lee or Barry Berrgan get a callup from Toowoomba to first grade.

Brent Tate has also been cleared of serious injury and will take part against the Bulldogs this Friday night.

In other news Carl Webb should make his return this weekend for Toowoomba after serious injury problems continue to delay his return to first grade while Brett Seymour is also expected to make his return to after suffering a dislocated finger against the Warriors.
