Shane Webcke will miss the upcoming clash between the USA Tomohawks and Australia after he produced a heroic performance in Sunday's Tri-Nations grand final.
The powerhouse prop's troublesome right knee flared up before the match against the Lions, but he took the field after completing a fitness test just minutes before kick-off.
Team doctors have said Webcke will most likely need a minor operation on his knee upon his return from the tour, and although the injury is routine, he won't be risked for the historic game in Philadelphia.
He joins a list of injured players who will watch from the sideline, including Craig Gower, Craig Wing and Jason Ryles, with more omissions expected to be announced before kick-off.
Coach Wayne Bennett had originally planned to name a 22-man squad to cater for unlimited interchange with 9 reserves, but the number will most likely be cut back to 20 when injuries are taken into consideration.
The game will be broadcast live on Fox Sports in Australia at 11:30am (AEST, check local guides).
