Welcome to the BroncoNet Charity Choice

The BroncoNet Charity Choice has been established to help put back into the community that has made the Broncos, and through their fans, this site, successful. The concept is very simple. Every month, BroncoNet will choose a specific charity and ask visitors to donate as much or as little as they like to the cause. 100% of what is donated to the chosen charity is passed on, there is no commission taken by BroncoNet or any other party*.

Making a donation is simple, you can either pay online with your credit card via PayPal, or send a cheque or money order to the address below. Please do not send cash as there is a high risk it will be lost.

At the end of every month, the tally of the money received for the chosen charity and the running total of all time will be published. A cheque will be sent on behalf of all contributors and your names and a message of support for the charity will be included. Donations at this stage are not tax deductible, however BroncoNet is investigating the possibility of registering as a charity to allow this service.

This Month's Charity - Royal Children's Hospital Foundation

Regular BroncoNet visitor and contributor, Anthony Pryke (Aeetee) sent the following message which inspired this entire movement, and should inspire you all to help with as much or as little as you can.

"I was on way home from dropping my 2 daugthers at daycare when on the radio, Brisbane's B105, they were trying to raise money for the Royal Children's Hospital. The money is going to the research centre, to help combat liver problems and such. This guy comes in, gives them 50 bucks and proceeds to tell them his daughter had a liver operation at 58 days old, and she's going to need a liver transplant, and she's only 7 mths old now. I could hear in this man's vioce the pain of having to watch this occur in front of him, and he was helpless to do anything. Now some of you might know what it's like to have kids, and not being able to protect them is my greatest fear."

Donations are open from now and any donations received before midnight January 4, 2003 will be passed on to the Royal Children's Hospital Foundation. A new charity will be chosen at that point. You can suggest ideas for the next charity at the BroncoNet Ikin-Board Forum, where you can also chat with other contributors and find out the latest information about the programme.
